Our system pumps water from wells, rivers, or water towers and automatically filters, disinfects, and monitors water quality in real time. Powered by solar energy, it ensures safe, reliable drinking water with smart control, remote monitoring, and automatic regulation.
Automatic disinfection
The system continuously monitors water quality and automatically adjusts disinfectant production. Disinfection increases when water quality drops and is reduced to a minimum when water quality is good—ensuring safety while avoiding over-treatment.

All data is sent to the cloud through the integrated GSM module and can be viewed on PC, laptop, or smartphone.

Maintenance
Maintenance is simple and requires only a lemon and a (tooth)brush.
- The lemon is used to clean the disinfection cell about every 4 weeks.
- The brush is used to clean the filters.
The system comes with washable stainless steel and ceramic filters. Polycarbonate filters can be washed or easily replaced.
Depending on raw water quality, special filters (e.g. for arsenic, iron, fluoride) may be provided.
The system should be kept clean, especially the solar cells.
Requirements & limitations
INTEWA systems do not desalinate seawater.
Rainwater requires mineralization, as it contains too few minerals.
A minimum of 40 mg Cl⁻/l is required and can be added using a mechanical dosing pump (optional accessory).

Water towers

The INTEWA system in this water tower is making all the water drinkable. The water is controlled every 10 seconds and INTEWA is adjusting itself automatically on eventually occuring infections.

Deep well, surface water and other wells
The Intewa1 system has an integrated pump, that is controlled by the central control unit. The integrated pump is pumping water from up to 70 mtr and is also operated by solar energy (but on grid is also possible). As in the Intewa1 circulate also here a sensor in the water tank is monitoring the water all the time.

Rural areas and decentralized water supply
Especially for rural areas the INTEWA System is providing important benefits.
Rural Areas often have no access to public water, and the piping costs would be very high. Sometimes the energy supply is not stable or not even available. Therefore people living in rural areas have often no access to disinfected water.
The INTEWA system is providing safe, disinfected water in rural areas, where there is no energy available. No chemicals have to be bought and added in, because the disinfectant is produced inside the system out of the minerals in the water itself.

Health Benefits
Leaving the minerals in the water
The water produced by INTEWA is leaving the essential minerals in the water. Conventional systems like RO systems (reverse osmosis) are filtering out all life essential minerals from the water. Reverse osmosis water is dead water, with no use for the body. As water is a nutrition it shall contain the minerals the body needs for basic health. Drinking too much reverse osmosis water is suspected to cause mineral lack based diseases.

INTEWA is disinfecting automatically. The sensor in the freshwater tank is detecting signs for bacterias, viruses, legionellas and protozoas in the water. The system is automatically reacting and producing the disinfectant which is needed to kill all bacterias.

Cost benefits compared to the water price
Compared to the water price in almost all countries you get the cubic meter (1000 liters) tap water for a cheaper price and with a better quality. You can drink the tap water that is produced by the INTEWA system, and you can be sure, that it is safe, because it is monitored online permanetly. The price for public water is higher in most countries than the water disinfected by Intewa. But the public water is mostly not potable. The cost for one cubic meter of residual disinfected water with the Intewa system are – depending on the raw water quality – around 11 cent.

Cost benefits through energy efficiency
The INTEWA system is consuming only 220 W to produce 1000 liters of disinfected potable water.
Compared to this RO is consuming between 3.000 W and 12.000 W to produce 1000 liters of dead (mineral free) water. RO is also producing 50% waste water. This is a problem when wastewater has to be paid for.
UV is consuming 500 W per 1000 liters, but does not provide any residual disinfection. This means that the water can be re-infected again immediately after disinfection.
Boiling is using the most energy, it is about 92.000 W per 1000 liters.

INTEWA mobile systems for desasters
ContactMobile systems can be brought directly to the location where disinfected water is needed. The start to operation time is 30 min, after about 1 hour the fully automatic disinfected water is available.
- The INTEWA for emergency can be brought by a pick up or a small boat or even by walk to the location. The weight of INTEWA for desaster is about 38 kg.
- The size of the mobile system for desasters is 80 x 60 x 40 cm, plus the water tank that is needed for the disinfeted water.
- The power can be provided by the battery of the car or by solar cells.
- The system is automatically disinfecting the water and assure that there is no infection for the people who need help because of infected water.
